Sailing Galaxidi to Trizonia

June 13th was a great day for sailing. We went from Galixidi to Trizonia, a small island in the Gulf of Corinth far from the mainland. We stopped to swim along the way in a private little beach followed by another yummy lunch.

Trizones only has about 40 people who live there year round. Looks to be a yachting stop and a working island. The marina was kind of sad. Lots of abandoned boats – a graveyard for unwanted boats. Apparently noone runs the marina so there are no rules enforced. We took a long hot hike to “red beach” but we didn’t get in the water. Dinner at one of the three tavernas surrounded by cats, overlooking the water. Kat disappeared to a wifi cafe while Julie hunted for her for several hours. Thanos’s father and best friend arrived on Trizones via a water taxi. They were laden with eggs and produce from his farm and to see baby Nicolas for a few hours.
