Portugal 2024

One of my travel bucket lists is to see every capital city in Europe. We decided to tack on a 2 week trip to Portugal after a family trip to Greece in September. In 2 weeks, we covered a lot of ground, with the exceptiopn of the Algarve in South of Portugal. We rented a car to drive between the two big cities – Porto and Lisbon. I started with a suggested itinerary by Rick Steves and then tailored it after a consulting zoom session with travel blogger, JulieDawnFox.com. She suggested eliminating Nazare and staying in Alcoboca instead – which was good advice. She also suggested interesting stops between cities on our driving tours. Lisbon, Portugal – 4 nights

Sep 21 – Evora to Lisbon An easy travel day with no extra stops between Evora and Lisbon. Before leaving, we took one last walk through Evora to find the Porta Moura gate. We missed it the first pass through as it is two towers and no arch. It was an easy drive to Lisbon...
