Exploring Melbourne

March 26 2018

Melbourne AU is a bustling city with a mix of architecture – Victorian, modern and some 70s ugly concrete in the mix. Newer high rises in Docklands were the most bizarre. Bill wondered if designers were doing some drugs.

The city is known for its little side streets called alleys or lanes. Some had street dining and others lots of street art aka grafitti. And lots of interesting outdoor art sculpture.

We rode the free tram all over the city center and visited the Melbourne Museum which is close to our room in Fitzroy.

The Travelers is an art exhibit about immigration.

Some unusual modern architecture at the Docklands.
