Day 4 – Dubrovnik to Korcula

Another long day in the bus moving from Dubrovnik to the island of Korcula. One of the nice things about an organized tour is that we don’t have to schlep our luggage or make many plans as it’s all done for us. We get a wake-up call at 6:30a, bags have to be outside your door at 7:00am and be on the bus by 8:00am.

We had an hour in a little seaside port called Orebic while we waited for a ferry to the Island of Korcula. It was very quiet with many trees along the beach.

It was a long day of riding but the town of Korcula on the island with the same name was a lovely little village. We had a local guide to walk us around the village when we arrived and then had some time on our own before piling back on the bus. Our lunch was at a hotel restaurant near a beach just outside the old town. Too bad we didn’t stay at that hotel. Instead we drove to the far end of Korcula to stay at a mediocre hotel in the town of Vela Luna. We did have a great dinner that night with some of our fellow travelers.
