We left the dock at Mykonos fairly early 9am with a possible destination of Antiparos for swimming. It was a perfect day for sailing the Greek islands with some sailing and motor sailing. Antiparos too shallow for our draft – we ran aground trying to get into the shallow bay. So we went to Paros and docked at the port in the capital Parikia.
We found a delicious beach to swim in and then had salad and drinks at a little taverna with tables at the edge of the shore and with wifi. Searching for wifi was always part of our day. Typically most restaurants and cafe’s and the hotels had wifi but you had to spend money to get the code. Some of the islands had a public wifi that was free but it only worked well on one island from the boat.
We are docked at the port in Parikia which is the capital of Paros. It too is a lovely traditional village. We enjoyed rum drinks (Cuban rum) on the boat and the sunset before heading to village for dinner at an upscale but reasonable place called Daphne. Fine dining at taverna prices. Looking forward to coming back to Paros next weekend.
