Bamberg

We arrived in Bamberg Germany in the morning. It’s a charming town built on seven hills between the Regintz River and the Main Canal. The well preserved medieval town is a UNESCO World Heritage site. We had to rush out to be ready for a 9:00 AM departure with the local guide. We had 3 hours to explore Bamberg before setting sail for Wurzburg around lunch time. We spent the afternoon on the boat napping and watching the view from our room as we sailed and then the early evening in the lounge visiting with the others and doing some writing.

Duck was the dinner special as we watched the sun set from our table. We typically had three choices for each dinner and most evenings we ordered the meat option. A couple of times I tried the fish entree but they just didn’t measure up. But the steak, veal, duck, turkey and chicken were all worthy.

Bonnie is feeling better today.

This is what we are going to look like at the end of this trip if we keep eating all the bread and desserts!
